Cemetery of the Innocent
Pro-life demonstration on campus today. 3500 pink and blue flags on McKeldin Mall for the number of abortions performed daily on average in the U.S, plus explanatory signs and Project Rachel signs.
It is interesting to note that the University administration tried to keep us off the Mall at first. We applied to use the Mall for a demonstration as described in the posted rules. We were informed that what we were doing was an "event" and not a "demonstration," and therefore was not permitted. When we asked for guidelines on the difference between an "event" and a "demonstration" so that we could change our plans to make our demonstration satisfy the requirements for a "demonstration," there was no reply. Eventually they saw the light of reason and let us do it. Pray for pro-life efforts on campus because we have a lot of uphill work.
