Fatima visionary Sr. Lucia dead at age of 97

Report from Zenit.

May the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace.

Someone observed that Sr. Lucia is the sort that you feel like you should have them pray for you as much or more as you feel like you should pray for them.  The other two are already beatified, and I seem to recall that Our Lady was supposed to have told all three they would be saved.   That shouldn't stop us from praying for her, and for all three to be raised to the honors of the altar.

Sometimes I feel like we should start some kind of experimental prayer group where we cycle through novenas to various almost-Saints. I mean, some of these people have been Blessed for a really long time.
